Since 2002 our team of “railheads” have helped clients develop new rail services and interchanges, by providing independent and objective consultancy support. Our team collectively provides over 250 years of experience in the rail and wider transport industry, most of this gained in frontline management and operational roles moving freight and passengers.

We provide real-world experience in rail, intermodal and multimodal transport. We can assist with design and planning, finance and procurement, development, marketing and operations.

Our unique ‘house blend’ of skills and experience draws on management consultancy, transport planning, logistics, public policy, project development and operation  – delivered in a pragmatic and clear style.

Our clients include ports, manufacturers, retailers, developers, logistics providers, waste contractors and government bodies, both in the UK, the European Union and the Middle East (as some of the team are multimodal and multilingual).

Our experience in new development projects covers more than 50 million square feet of rail-linked industrial floorspace, with an equally strong track record in helping secure consent on Appeal and through the Development Consent Order process. Our work in the freight sector has supported new quarries, factories, national and regional distribution hubs and local freight interchanges. Our work in the passenger sector has supported new settlements (e.g. Worcestershire Parkway New Settlement, Kings Dene) and entertainment hubs (e.g. Qiddiya Grand Central Station and UDX Bedford).
